Earth Day is this Friday, 22 April. Earth Day focuses on conservation and the restoration of our planet and how small conscious acts you implement create a better world for all of us. Below are some fun activities you can do with your kiddos while sharing some insight on how everyone can do something to invest in our planet!

Make a Pine Cone Bird Feeder

Gather the following Items:

A Pinecone

1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter

1-2 tablespoons of bird seed

7-10 inches of thread, ribbon, twine, or yarn

a spoon or popsicle stick

Step One: Use your spoon or popsicle stick to apply the peanut butter to the pine cone.

Step Two: Roll the pine cone in the bird seed.

Step Three: Tie the twine around the top of the pine cone and secure with a knot. Tie another knot at the opposite end creating a loop.

Step Four: Hang your bird feeder on a branch outside!

Make "Dirt Pudding with Sour Worms"

What you'll need:

1 (4oz) box of instant chocolate pudding

Two cups of milk

1 (8oz) container of Cool Whip

1 package of Oreos

Gummy worms (I used these)

8oz. cups

Steps:

Combine the milk and instant pudding. Mix until well blended.

Pour in the Cool Whip and mix until combined.

Put Oreos into a large Ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin or with your hands.

Pour the mix into individual serving cups and top with the crushed Oreo mix.

Add in the gummy worms and enjoy!

Makes 10 (8oz) servings

Faster Route: Get pudding that is already made and add some crushed Oreos and gummy worms on top!
